How to Change Microsoft Password

Method 1: Changing in a Web Browser

  1. Visit account.microsoft.com in a web browser. you’ll use any application to alter your password.
  2. Click register with Microsoft. You will see the Blue Button in the center of the Page.
  3. Click register with Microsoft. It’s the blue button close to the center of the page.
  4. Click the safety tab. It’s close to the top of the page.
  5. Click change password. It’s the blue button underneath the icon of a key.
  6. Click your email address. This prompts Microsoft to send a verification code to its address.
  7. Enter the verification code you received and click on Verify
  8. Enter your current password.
  9. Create a brand new password.
  • Your password should be 8 characters or more.
  • Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • If you check the box beside “Make me change my password every 72 days,” you’ll be prompted to Change Microsoft password every 72 days.
  1. Click Next

Method 2: Changing in Windows

  1. Type change your password into the search bar to open the search bar, click the circle or magnifying glass to the right of the beginning button.
  2. Click change your password.
  3. Click Change. It’s beneath the ″Password″ header.
  4. Enter your current password and click on Next.
  5. Create a brand new password and click on Next.
